Battery replacement service for VIEVU body cameras.
Vievu body cameras are not bad products, but over time, the battery pack inside of the cameras tend to degrade or swell due to use over time or improper charging. The tell tale sign of this is decreased battery life and/or the inability to charge the camera at all (meaning the camera will only operate while plugged into an external power source).
The ORM battery replacement service is designed for those who have body cameras that are outside of VIEVU's service window or those who do not wish to spend as much on a battery replacement (upwards of $150 USD). We test and inspect the cameras and if the battery is the culprit, we replace the battery at a fraction of the cost of typical battery replacements (and certainly cheaper than purchasing a new body camera).

How does this work?
First, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us before ordering this service.
Once an order is placed, properly package your camera(s) and ship it/them to us.
After we receive your package, we will test the camera(s) to ensure that the battery is indeed the reason why your body camera is failing. After the camera(s) is serviced and the battery is replaced, we will test the camera to ensure that the new battery is operating nominally and then ship it/them back to you; insured with tracking data and Signature delivery.
What components do we use?
We use batteries that meet or exceed specifications from the manufacturer.
What if the battery isn't the problem?
If, during testing, we determine that the factory battery is still operational and that there may be another issue involved, we will email you to find out if you want the unit returned, if you want it recycled, etc. We will also refund your payment (less shipping if you want the camera returned to you).
How long will the new battery last?
This is a question that is hard to answer in exact terms (due to different variables). However, the style of battery that is used typically has a life span of 150-350 cycles.
Will the replacement battery add any additional weight to the camera?
No, we use the exact same size, style, voltage and capacity battery that the manufacturer uses.
Will the camera still be water resistant after the battery is replaced?
Yes, we use a water resistant sealant when we reassemble the camera. The same rules and restrictions that the manufacturer puts in place (concerning water resistance) still apply.
What is the turn around time for getting a battery replaced?
While we stock the different batteries that are used in the body cameras, there is a 7-10 day lead time (or turn around time) on this service. This means that once we receive the camera, it will take approximately 7-10 business days to test, service, validate and return ship the camera back to you.
Is there an option to expedite the battery replacement on my camera?
Email us before you attempt to place an order for this service. This will ensure the greatest amount of accuracy in answering this question.
Is there anything that I should do before I send you the body camera?
Yes, you should backup any video that is still on the camera and delete the video(s) from the camera's memory before you send the camera to us.
